A house facing this way
An east-facing house is a good house. Most of what is said in its favour is really about the morning light, which is a good reason on its own.
This part of the house
- Sits well here
- Pooja room, Study, Main entrance, Living room
- The element
- Air
The direction of the morning sun. Read for health and for beginnings, and a natural place for an entrance or a study.
A house that differs from the ideal is still a good house.
How this is worked out
This direction reads as Air. That is where its placements come from: a room goes where its element goes, which is why the scheme holds together rather than being a list to memorise.
We will not tell you to move a wall, a door, a kitchen or a bathroom. Structural changes cost a great deal, are frequently irreversible, and no page that has never seen your home is in a position to recommend one.
