What this is
StarTime computes Vedic astrology — panchang, charts, dashas, compatibility and the classical readings that follow from them — and shows the reasoning behind each answer, including which text a rule comes from. Using it is free. You do not need an account for most of it.
What this is not
Nothing here is medical, legal, financial or psychological advice, and it is not a substitute for a professional. If you are making a decision that matters, make it with a qualified person who knows your circumstances. An astrological reading is a tradition's account of a moment, not a forecast you can hold anybody to.
What we refuse to answer
There are questions this product will not answer, and the refusals are deliberate rather than gaps. It will not predict when anyone will die. It will not diagnose illness. It will not predict the sex of an unborn child — that refusal follows Indian law as well as our own view. It does not sell gemstones, pujas or remedies, and the remedies it does suggest are ones that cost nothing or nearly nothing, because a remedy you have to buy is a sale wearing a remedy's clothes.
Accounts
An account is optional and exists to save charts and read them again later. You are responsible for keeping access to the email account you sign in with. You can close your account at any time, and closing it deletes what was held for it.
Availability
This is offered as it is, without a guarantee that it will be available at any particular moment or that every computation is free of error. Where we find an error we correct it and, where it changed a reading somebody may have acted on, we say so rather than quietly fixing it.
Changes
If these terms change, the date above changes with them. We do not backdate them.
