Manglik / Sevvai dosham

The same affliction has three names and they do not travel: it is Manglik or Mangal dosh across north and west India, Sevvai dosham in Tamil, and Kuja dosham in Telugu and Kannada. This page checks all of them, from the same rules.

Judged from the lagna, the Moon and Venus — most software checks only the lagna and clears people who are not clear. Every classical exception is checked, and named.

Every dosham we check

If you are not certain, give your best guess — the chart will tell you whether the doubt actually changes anything.
Start typing and the list will suggest. Longitude sets the sidereal time, so the city genuinely matters — a few hundred kilometres moves the ascendant by about a degree. If your town is not listed, choose the nearest city.
Used only for grammar: several Indian languages change the verb form. Leave blank and the text is written to avoid it.

Your birth details are sent to our server to compute the chart and are not stored, shared, or used to identify you.

What we will not do

We do not implement the “dosham expires at 28” rule that many apps use. It appears in no classical text. Inventing reassurance is the same failure as inventing fear, and both leave you unable to trust anything else on the page.

Where a judgement circulates widely but we could not trace it to a text, we say so and weight it lower. You are entitled to discount what we cannot source.
